2015 Pittsburgh Steelers Season

Antonio Brown Season Summary: The 2015 Steelers were dangerous when healthy, but health rarely cooperated. Antonio Brown authored one of the greatest seasons ever by a receiver with 136 catches for 1,834 yards, Ben Roethlisberger topped 3,900 passing yards despite missing 4 games, and Le'Veon Bell looked unstoppable before a midseason knee injury ended his year. DeAngelo Williams revived his career in relief with 1,274 scrimmage yards and 11 rushing TDs, while Martavis Bryant added explosiveness on the outside. The defense was no longer elite, so the offense carried the load.

They slipped into the playoffs at 10-6 for a Wild Card showdown in Cinci that became an instant classic. Pittsburgh led 15–0 and had the game in hand until Ben was knocked out on the final play of the 3rd quarter. Without him, the offense collapsed and the Bengals surged ahead late. But with 1:23 left, Jeremy Hill fumbled and gave Pittsburgh new life. Ben returned despite his injured shoulder, starting from his own 9 and cooly driving the Steelers into range. Back-to-back monumentally stupid penalties on Burfict and Pacman Jones set up Chris Boswell's chipshot for a stunning win.

The run ended a week later in Denver. With Brown, Bell, and Williams all sidelined, the Steelers controlled much of the game but coughed it away on a late Fitzgerald Toussaint fumble. Manning and the Broncos capitalized, and Pittsburgh fell 23–16. It was a season that showcased their firepower, their resilience, and just how close they were to another Super Bowl run if they could've stayed healthy.
