1986 Pittsburgh Steelers Season
Season Summary: The 1986 Steelers collapsed to 6-10, their second straight losing season and their worst finish in 16 years. Mark Malone was a turnover machine, and the offense ranked near the bottom of the league in nearly every category. Despite strong years from Louis Lipps and Mike Merriweather, the team was often noncompetitive. Blowout losses piled up. The defense couldn't carry the load, and the offense gave them no help. For the first time in Noll's tenure, the Steelers looked truly broken.
