The Steelers answer briefly with a 79-yd drive capped by Bettis' 1-yd TD plunge, but momentum disappears when Randle El fumbles the ensuing kickoff. On the very next snap, Tim Rattay hits Fred Beasley for a 28-yd TD to put San Fran firmly in control. Maddox throws for 327 yds, but a tipped pass becomes an INT return deep into Steelers territory.
