1989 Steelers vs Vikings
Box score
The Steelers come in as heavy underdogs, given little chance against a Vikings team many consider a contender. Brister opens with a 15-yd TD to Mularkey on their first drive, and after Minnesota answers with a score, rookie Tim Worley puts Pittsburgh back ahead with an 8-yd run in the 2nd. \n\nThe Vikings briefly draw even when Chris Doleman strips Brister and Henry Thomas scoops it up and rumbles 27 yds for the score, but the Steelers refuse to fold. Merril Hoge powers in from 2 yds out before halftime, and the defense takes over. Pittsburgh records 5 sacks, forces 4 turnovers, and picks off both Wade Wilson and Tommy Kramer. Gary Anderson adds field goals from 38 and 44 yds late to slam the door. Thanks to Russell Pavlov for providing this game!
