1986 Steelers at Oilers OT

Rick Woods sets up the Steelers first lead of the season with an INT of Warren Moon, and his 41-yd punt return to the Houston 15 in overtime sets up Walter Abercrombie's 3-yd TD run to give the Steelers their first win of the year.

Mark Malone has another dismal day passing, starting 1 of 11 and completing just 10 of 31 passes to a stable of no-name receivers. But Malone makes up for his arm with his legs, running 45 yds on a bootleg late in the 4th to give Pittsburgh a 16-13 lead, and setting up Abercrombie's winning score in OT with an 11-yd bootleg. Pittsburgh's defense plays remarkably well, sacking Warren Moon 6 times (4 in the first quarter) and keeping the Oilers in 3rd-and-long all afternoon to force FG's instead of TDs.
