Moments later, a highlight reel play unfolds when Andy Russell rocks Boobie Clark in the backfield and Dwight White punches the ball free. Blount tries to reel in the loose ball and it bounces to Jack Lambert who scoops it up and races toward the end zone, then laterals it to JT Thomas who sprints into the end zone for a stunning 14-0 Steelers lead. Cinci answers to make it 14-7 in the 2nd, but Mike Wagner jumps a throw, takes it inside the 20, and Franco slices in from 10 yds out to make it 21-7 at the half.
In the 3rd, Swann continues to make clutch 3rd-and-long catches, setting up Bradshaw's 7-yd scramble into the end zone to ice it at 28-7. Franco is relentless (20 carries, 118 yds, 2 TDs) and the defense, even without Joe Greene, overwhelms the pocket, with most of Ken Anderson's yards coming late with the outcome in hand.
