Almost since the day I bought it, I've been asking myself the same question about this guitar: "What am I doing with this strange little thing?"
Not that it's not a nice guitar. To the contrary, the quality is superb. Solid as a rock with a beautifully figured top. But still... it's a purple freak.
I was looking for something different, and that's what I got. I placed the order for it sight unseen and it took nearly 11 months to finally get it. Lesson learned. It's hardly a total loss, though. It's quite rare, being a limited edition and from the first year of issue. Ernie Ball only made 1000 total of this model that year, and only a handful on 'em were purple (which, for whatever reason, has become an extremely collectable color). At least if I ever decide to sell it, it'll bring a pretty penny.
