1993 Steelers 23 vs Bills 0 MNF

An absolutely flawless game both offensively and defensively for the Steelers on Monday Night as the Steelers deliver the first of many Buffalo thumpings to come at Three Rivers Stadium.

Pittsburgh physically dominates the Bills from start to finish, owning a 44:51-15:09 edge in time of possession and outgaining Buffalo 400 to 157. Thurman Thomas is a non-factor and Jim Kelly has a miserable first half before getting knocked out of the game on the final play before halftime. Frank Reich fares no better in the second half in the face of a relentless Blitzburgh pass rush as the Steelers pitch a shutout.

Game features Gary Jones' bone-jarring sideline hit on Don Beebe at the 96:11 mark. Sadly, Barry Foster goes down early in this game with what initially appears to be a sprained ankle but ultimately turns out to be a detached ligament, ending his season as well as (IMO) the Steelers hopes for a Lombardi.
