1985 Steelers 23 vs Redskins 30

Washington's special teams set up a pair of easy 1st-quarter TDs with a 95-yd game-opening kickoff return and a blocked punt to jump out to a 14-3 lead. Jay Schroeder gets the start for Washington a week after Joe Theismann's horrifying broken leg at the hands of Lawrence Taylor, and Scott Campbell is under center for the Steelers with Woodley out with the flu. Campbell briefly rallies Pittsburgh to a 17-17 tie by throwing a pair of TDs to Louis Lipps and Rich Erenberg in a 2-1/2 minute span of the 2nd quarter, but Campbell also throws 3 costly interceptions. Meanwhile, Schroeder hits 8 of 10 2nd half passes and goes on to win the duel of two young QBs making their first NFL starts.
