Plaxico Burress, seen above towering over Chris McAllister, has made a habit out of torching the Ravens. This Sunday will be no different.
Predictions for Week 1: Steelers vs Ravens
Air Supremacy
Steelers, not Birds, own skies
Article by McMillen & Wife

One thing is certain... no team relishes talking smak that they can't back up more than the Baltimore Ravens. And as usual, the Ravens have become completely intoxicated with themselves, largely due to the media's continued (and inexplicable) love-fest with them.

But let there be no doubt... media darlings or not, Ray Lewis and his fur coat gang will be bitch-slapped back to reality come Sunday, because the Steelers are about to deliver one heck of a nasty ass-whuppin'. Only on very rare occasions is a Steelers win so imminent I can almost taste it, and my bruthas, this is one of those times.

Let me tell you something about the Ravens, folks. I keep hearing all of this crap (mostly from the Ravens themselves) singing the praises of Baltimore's "mighty defense" and Ray Lewis and their "special" secondary with Fuller, McAlister, Reed, Baxter and blah, blah, blah. But 'ya know what? It has been proven time and time again over the last couple of seasons that these guys simply can't handle teams with a strong passing games. And the Steelers wield one of the best air attacks in the league. Tommy is gonna tear 'em to shreds.

Baltimore's secondary is talented, no question. But aside for old man Fuller, they're young and prone to mistakes. Plex owned them last year. So did Hines Ward. So make no mistake... we are going to own the skies over Pittsburgh again this Sunday, people.

I'm gonna tell you something else. Our defense may not be quite what it used to be, but it is much better than advertised, even without the services of Joey Porter. Running against us is an impossibility, and regardless of what rookie QB Kyle Boller did during last week's preseason fluff match against the Giants, he's in for one helluva rude welcome to REAL NFL football this Sunday. I hope Baltimore's coaching staff remembered to bring an ample supply of "Huggies" for Baby Boller... otherwise, Heinz Field groundskeepers might be forced to don biohazard gear and heavy-duty pooper-scoopers to tend to the massive loads oozing out of Kyle's knickers as early as the first quarter. Yuck!

You're dead meat, Boller. Worm food. Can't wait to see that deer-in-the-headlights expression as Kendrell Bell rips off your right arm and beats you to death with it.

'Nuff said. I've gotta get busy and practice singing my James Brown tune for after the game tomorrow. If anyone wants to join in, feel free... you know the words:

Woah, I feel good, [nana-nana-nana-na]
I knew that I wouldn’t have [nana-nana-nana-na]
I feel good, [nana-nana-nana-na]
I knew that I wouldn’t have [nana-nana-nana-na]
So good, [bum-bum]
So good, [bum]
I got you [bum-bum-bum-bum-bum]

Tims's Prediction: Steelers 30, Ravens 13
Sandy's Prediction: Steelers 24, Ravens 10

Nice post. Sounds like your fired up. 30-13 may be stretching it a bit but I do agree the Steelers will win by at least 10. My call is Steelers 20 Ravens 10. Great site!

If Baltimore wins the division, I'll change the color of this site to purple. You crack-heads have NO shot at the division, NO shot at the playoffs, and NO shot at what others would consider even marginal success.

You do, however, have a clear shot at another crack-head across the street. Bust a cap in him while the gettin's good so you can put your outlining chalk to use.

P.S. -- Aren't you the same guy who praised M2P for heralding the Raven's wonderful 7-9 season last year as a sweeping success?

Actually, Charles, 30-13 was my prediction. NYSteel went with 20-10.

Not to toot my own horn, but did I nail this game or what? Wonder where Edgar, '76 and M2P are right now...

Ich bin 1 !!

Dude,

The Steelers are coming, the Steelers are coming!!

Arrowhead Stadium...I can't wait to hear these bandwagon jumping Chief's fans crying after the game.

Everyone needs to tune into www.kcfx.com after this Sundays game to hear the whinning...it's the best.

Chief fan's whine better than any group of fans in the country. They also like to tout their stadium as being the loudest...even though there is absolutely NO record of that kept by the NFL.

Chief fans Tailgate better than any other, but the "loud stadium" thing really bugs me.

Every time I've been there, it's been pretty quite.

BECAUSE THE STEELERS HAVE POUNDED THEIR ASS

I hate these guys. My uncle hates them so much, last year, his fantasy football team name was "Chief's Coach Cries" In reference to their coach weeping all the time.

Teams I hate:

1. Cleveland
2. Baltimore
3. Patriots
4. Titans
5. Chiefs
6. Cowboy's

Kansas City is a great city...I just hate their loud-mouthed ignorant fan base. Blah, blah, blah...

This sunday...at Arrowhead...when they sing the national anthem...it will be the Land of the FREE and the HOME of the STEELERS!!
