Lets roll through the ole cliche' rolodex, shall we?
"It all starts with the O-Line" - This is more than true; it is condition critical. Before you can even ponder the major dilemma of this week's running game and our depleted platoon of runners, you'd better hope Russ Grimm is doing something to light a fire under these guys' collective asses. A Steelers "GRIMM" Jersey is rumored to be in the equipment locker. Faneca is playing like crap. As Paul Harvey would say, #60 would like me to mention his name. Maybe not. Harting's honeymoon is over. After a shaky start last year, he did a great job. He is regressing for some reason. Webster... Dawson... Get your mind right, Jeff. Gandy makes statements in the press that sound like a lame duck politician shuffling through his last days in office: "...4 maybe 5 games in a row". MAYBE, WAYNE? HOW ABOUT>>> DOMINATE THAT ASS, WAYNE, AND FOCUS! Marvel Smith, I'm watching you.
Pass protection has improved slightly, but you have to factor in Kordell's escape skills there. If there is one thing Kordell can help The Madd Ox with (please, I beg of you, "Tommy Gun" is lame), it's some quick move techniques and you can only coach that to a minimum.
"Run the ball" - Ummmm...what can I say that hasn't been said?

With the exception of the drive right after Joey Porter's perfect toss was incorrectly ruled a forward pass in the Raidirt game' I have NOT seen "The Bus!" Svelte? Please!
"Championships are won with Defense" - Again true. Lets get to .500 this week against Michael Vick's cousin and the VooDaints and we'll talk. This is a must-win game.
"Special Teams" - If the word "special" comes up at all this week to describe the Steelers special teams, it had better be in a positive connotation!
"Our team needs a spark" - A spark? No, what our team needs is a trip to a nasty Steel Mill where they can spend a shift hiding under "a spark" to avoid the heat. Maybe they could all go over to Greg Lloyd's house for a luncheonette afterwards and discuss their feelings on that.
The intense national focus is on the benching of Kordell and the 10 year gap between starts for The Madd Ox. Bottom line is that without a running game, Tommy Maddox will have to do what Tom Brady and Rich Gannon did to the Steelers in weeks one and two. Mistake free football plus a running game equals a Steelers win. If the 'Aints have to respect the run, Tommy can pass it all over the "Snake and Chicken Foot Dome." I'd like to see if Tuman can still catch the ball, provided it's thrown to him and not three feet over his head.

By the way, I urge everyone to vote for "Kimo's Noggin" in the McMillen and Wife's game ball poll for last week's game against the Clowns. Sure, Maddox deserves it... but how often do we get a chance to vote for someone's "Noggin?"
